Pattie Hunt Seay

Pattie went home to be with her Lord on December 17, 2013. She was born February 13, 1914 and was the daughter of the late Robert C. Hunt and Annie Davis and the widow of Kenneth G. Seay, her devoted husband of 63 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joanne Bennett and her husband Tomas C. Bennett, III, granddaughter Jerri Price and her husband Johnny Price, daughter-in-law Susan Bennett, a cherished great-granddaughter Jessica Shaun Farley, an adopted daughter Amy Ivey and special cousins A.W. Nance and his wife Shirley. She is also survived by nieces Ellen Hudacheck and Michael, Bonnie Delong and chuck, Brenda Wyatt and Bob, Betty Matthews, Virginia Walker and a nephew Ira Hancock and Sandy who were very dear to her. Pattie was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Thomas Carlyle Bennett, sister’s Annie O. Abbott, Vera H. Owen, Vivian H. Hancock, Virgie D. Walker and a brother, Robert C. Hunt, Jr. Pattie and her husband Kenneth were faithful members of Grace Design Church for many years where she sang a beautiful alto in their choir. She was loved by everyone who knew her for her happy spirit and love of life. Her home was always open to family and friends and it was a warm and cheerful place to visit. She was a beautiful lady and remained young at heart all her life. She will be greatly missed by all of us. Our special heartfelt gratitude to everyone who cared for her so dearly at Roman Eagle where she spent the last years of her life. Our special thanks to Jeanette Blanks who always has such love and patience for her, caring nurses, Melanie Dowdy, Ashley Ramsey and Allyson Hackwort and her devoted CAN’s Deborah Finch and Mary Clay. We appreciate so many others who took such wonderful care of her and enjoyed such fun and laughter with her especially Rose, Cookie, Nicki, Little Mary, Denise, Stuart and Gloria. Her best friend and next door roommate, Hattie Nobles who became like a sister to her and helped her through each day with love, has a special place in our hearts. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Leemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is respectfully serving the Seay family.
