Robert (Bobby) Lough Satterfield

Bobby Satterfield Robert (Bobby) Lough Satterfield, 87, of Prospect Hill, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his residence after several years of declining health. Bobby was born in Caswell County, NC on April 14, 1937, a son of the late John Lewis Satterfield and Mildred Lough Satterfield. He had lived all of his life in Caswell County, NC. He was a former owner of Yanceyville Auto Sales and Caswell Tire Service. Bobby worked as an Auxiliary Deputy for the Caswell County Sheriff’s Department and was a retired member of the Yanceyville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Roxboro Masonic Lodge #113 and former member of the Yanceyville Masonic Lodge. Bobby was a member of Lea Bethel Baptist Church and former member of Yanceyville Methodist Church. On April 16, 1960 he married Bettie Dameron Satterfield who survives of the residence. They would have been married 65 years in April. Bobby is survived by one daughter, Robbie Jean Yarbrough (Tim) and one son, Robert L. (Rob) Satterfield, Jr.(Mindy), five grandchildren, John Yarbrough (Shelby), Rebecca Redding (Coty), Rachel Maness (Michael), Jay Cotton (Cary), Russ Yarboro, eleven great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Mills, Collin Mills,Trevor Yarbrough, Cheyenne Redding, Lola Redding, Henry Redding, Hayden Maness, Hallie Maness, Zellie Yarboro, Eli Yarboro,Theodore Yarboro, one sister, Mary Kiser Mise and one brother, Jack Satterfield. Bobby is predeceased by his parents, one sister, Elizabeth S. Walker, one brother, Gordon Satterfield and one granddaughter, Amanda Yarbrough. Graveside services for Bobby will be conducted on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Cooper Cemetery, 903 Cooper Cemetery Road, Prospect Hill, NC by Rev. Dave Cline. A visitation will be held after the service at The Country Church, 230 Ridgeville Road, Prospect Hill, NC. The family will receive friends at the home of Tim and Robbie Jean Yarbrough, 163 Cooper Cemetery Road, Prospect Hill, NC. Memorials may be made to Cooper Cemetery Fund C/O Tim Yarbrough, 163 Cooper Cemetery Road, Prospect Hill, NC 27314.
