Sandra Wilson Meadows

Sandra Wilson Meadows, 69, of 904 Long Circle, passed away on July 10, 2026, at SOVAH Health Danville after a decline in health for the past three months. Sandra was born on January 24, 1957, to the late Daniel Derl Wilson and Oneeta Hensley Wilson, who survives. Sandra spent her life in the Cascade Community and worked for TulTex where she was a Textile Worker. She was of the Baptist Faith. On January 26, 2000, Sandra was married to Michael Lee Meadows, who proceeded her in death on March 13, 2026. Sandra was known for her kind heart, and the happiness she brought to everyone around her. Whether she was taking a family trip to the Danville Casino, enjoying the beautiful sights of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, or sharing laughter with loved ones, she simply treasured every moment that was spent with her family. Sandra had a special love for the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween. She enjoyed the Christmas season and traditions, and Halloween brought out her playful spirit as she dressed up as Super Woman, or a bunny, or whatever the character may have been for that year. She also never hesitated to pass up an opportunity to enjoy one of her favorite treats--chocolate. A devoted sports fan, she proudly cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs and rarely missed the chance to watch NASCAR. Her favorite driver, Kyle Larson, always had her support, and race day was a day she always looked forward to with excitement. In addition to her mother, Sandra is survived by her daughter, Stacy Solomon (David); step-daughter, Christy Smith (Casey); two grandchildren, David Solomon, III (Charity), and Dillon Solomon, (Holly); two step-grandchildren, Jon Smith, and Cody Smith; two great-grandchildren: Rhett Solomon, and Everleigh Solomon; four siblings, Kathy Poteat (Edward), Joyce Hammock (Eddie), Donna Hawker (Otis), and Steve Wilson. In addition to her father and husband, Sandra was predeceased by her brother, Danny Wilson, Jr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes, Westover Chapel with Rev. Jeff Bray officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. At other times, the family will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made to Brosville Fire and Rescue. Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes, Westover Chapel, is respectfully serving the Meadows family.
