Wallace John Wright

Wallace John Wright, 59, of Semora, NC, went home to be with his Lord suddenly on Saturday, February 14, 2026. He was born in Person County, NC on October 5, 1966, to the late Joe Griffin Wright, Sr. and Madalu Simmons Wright. He was a lifelong resident of Person County, where he graduated from Person Senior High School, Class of 1985. Wallace retired from Shaw Electric as a Power Lineman. He was a charter member and first responder/EMT of Leasburg Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Caswell Masonic Lodge and Semora United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Wallace was predeceased by his wife and soulmate of 32 years, Sherri Dailey Wright. Wallace was known for being family oriented, with a heart of gold. Wallace was well read, had a quick wit, enjoyed music and loved history. He was known as an old soul. He had a very strong love for all animals. Wallace enjoyed caring for his dogs, horses and the pets of others as needed. Wallace is survived by his sister, LuAnn W. Martin (Donald) of Roxboro, brother, Joe G. Wright, Jr. (Pennie) of Roxboro, brothers-in-law, Irvin Dailey (Janice), Shannon Barker (Landon), Nathan Barker (Leslie), sister-in-law, JoAnne Honeycutt (Barry), In-laws, Van and Phyllis Barker, Graham and June Dailey. Nieces Carla B. Winstead (Josh), Kensington Barker, Carmen Bracey (Derrick), Katelyn Fisher (Jonathan), Samantha Chaves (Alex). Nephews Joe G.“Trey” Wright, III (Jessica), Connor Martin, Mason Dailey, Grant Dailey, Van Barker, Zack Barker, God child, Meredith Metzger (Sebastian), God granddaughter Sloane Metzger. A Memorial Service for Wallace will be conducted on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 3:00 in the afternoon at Semora Methodist Church, 14515 NC Hwy 119 N., Semora, NC 27343 with Pastor Ross Thompson officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by The Caswell Brotherhood Lodge #11. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County, P. O. Box 193, Yanceyville, NC 27379 or to Semora Volunteer Department, P. O.
