Apparently purchasing flowers includes a note of sympathy to the recipient, but buying trees does not. I even called the toll free number for help regarding this. When you purchase, it goes straight to the billing information and that’s the only thing you can fill in. This also makes it look like the owner of the credit card is the only sender, not a family, not a group of friends, not members off a congregation, etc. I have done memorial tree purchases before through other funeral homes and was able to write a note.

I love the fact that I can purchase these memorial trees, but I did the same thing a few weeks ago for one of my employees and the certificate that I got named the location, including longitude and latitude, of where the trees were actually planted. My sister-in-law said she would have loved that.

As a Landscape Architect, I prefer to order a memorial tree over a flower arrangement that does not last. I have done this before and is greatly appreciated by the families as a lasting memorial.

RATING:

The choices for memorials is defined well, along with the price points for each. Selection is as simple as selecting a block, and checking it. Pricing is reasonable. I am very satisfied with the process!!! How the trees are selected and planted is explained well in the receipt process. The United States Forest Service and Arbor Day Foundation are excellent choices for distribution.

I love the concept of planting a tree. Flowers are sweet but they eventually die. A tree that last a very long time.

RATING:

I love the idea of planting the trees. Flowers are beautiful, but this gave me an opportunity to add something behind that will last much longer and help the planet. The only disappointment for me was that I didn’t have more trees options. I would have liked to have planted a more beautiful looking tree than the one offered. I loved the opportunity of planting a tree. Thank you

Your Information
Where will my loved one’s memorial tree be planted? How is it done?
We're proud to partner with a network of trusted planting organizations, such as the United States Forest Service and Arbor Day Foundation. All plantings take place in forests that are in great need and are completed by professionals who are overseen and evaluated by foresters on the ground.

We carefully select and plant trees that are native to the specific area. This means that the species of trees may vary from region to region throughout the country. We take great care to ensure that the trees we plant thrive and contribute to the local ecosystem in a meaningful way.

Can I visit the forest where the memorial tree is planted?
Many of the forests of greatest need are located in areas with rough terrain and limited accessibility. It's important to note that trees are planted in the areas where they are most needed, rather than in easily accessible or convenient locations for visitation.

If you would like the specific location of your loved ones tree planting, please contact us by calling 1-888-932-7658 or sending an email to [email protected].
